I’ve been reading One Piece for almsot 11 years now I think and it recently got to me that as a true fan of One Piece I have to watch anime. I usually hate watch an anime if I’ve read the manga or vice versa. I just seems so pointless you know.
Anyway I’ve really got a long way to go if I want to catch up but that’s no problem. The only thing that bothers is it that the One Piece anime is totally different from the manga. I wouldn’t even say that they are the same series.
It irritates me a little that the anime contains either fillers in every episode. The starting scenario for once is completely different, there are no correct flashbacks like in the manga, there are a bunch of things that are totally made up, and the list could go on endlessly. I don’t if I should even call it filler because its just so different in every aspect. Characterwise, storywise etc etc.
The anime is really good though, don’t get me wrong. It’s just hard for a hardcore One Piece fan that has been reading OP for half of his life to get adjusted to the anime.
But I still love One Piece more than any other anime or manga out there, no doubt.
