So I watched the second Berserk anime movie, meaning “Berserk – Golden Age Chapter II – The Capture of Doldrey”
Just as good as the first movie, if not better. Fuck me, what a badass movie series this is. Blood, sex, rape, violence, epic fighting scenes, state of the art storyline and so much more. As a big fan of Berserk I think they interpret the manga extremely well. I remember reading the manga where Guts just slaughtered hundred men and therefore earned his title “Hundred Men Slayer Guts”. Definitely one of the best manga moments ever. And it was just as awesome in the movie.
And then straight after that I re-watched Princess Mononoke for old times sake. A masterpiece, what more to say.
What an amazing episode. If you forget about the production errors and other trivial stuff it was a really a great episode. The series overall is exceptionally good. Some people tend to compare SAO to .hack//Link, please don’t do that. .hack//Link never stuck on me, I actually didn’t like it at all. SAO on the other hand captured me by the first episode and made me watch all of the other episodes on the same day. It was a long time ago since I’ve really got into a new Anime series. SAO is really original, the pacing can be a bit boring or filler like but overall it makes you watch the whole episode without pausing it or taking a break.
I can absolutely recommend this for both the old schoolers and the new generation of anime lovers.
But this weeks episode, the 14th. Wow, I thought it was over. I thought the series took an out. But apparently there are going to be 25 episodes and I really can’t wait for the next couple of episodes. I just don’t know how it is going to continue from here on now. There is a small risk of SAO becoming dull or maybe even bad from here on now, but I certainly don’t think that’s a high risk. The A-1 Pictures have done an awesome job. I know that the light novel of SAO is still going on but I tend to love Animes based on novels. There are much freedom for the production to do whatever they want without the anime becoming bad. But when series are based on a manga, it can be the series downfall. A lot of fillers or just ending it in a bad filler way can destroy the entire anime show for me.
SAO has done just fine. Sure, there has been a few bad moments but they are really easy to overlook. It’s no big deal. I bet the light novel is really good too and since it is the original I can only imagine it being nothing more than insanely good.
The only thing I hope for is that SAO ends in a good way and maybe, just maybe, there will be a second season. Who knows.
Bones Studio made an awesome job with Darker than Black, so why shouldn’t A-1 Pictures do the same?
Just wanted to let you guys now what I’ll be following this season. Autumn 2012 Anime List.
-Litchi DE Hikari Club.
Based on the Tokyo Grand Guignol play Litchi Hikari Club.
Litchi Hikari Club revolves around a group of schoolboys who plan to create the ultimate in Artificial Intelligence.
As the story progresses, we watch the group gradually fall apart due to internal conflict and as the boys, under corrupt leadership, involve increasingly more twisted and depraved methods to reach their goal.
The story is about the flow of the fate and the battle to keep the world on the right path. Aladdin is a boy who has set out to explore the world after being trapped in a room for most of his life. His best friend is flute with a Djinn in it named Ugo. soon enough Aladdin discovers he is a Magi, a magician who chooses kings, and he was born to choose kings who will follow the righteous path, battling against those who want to destroy fate. Follow his adventures as he meets other from 1000 Arabic Nights, like Ali Baba and Sinbad, and fights to keep balance of the world in check.
I can say this much. Litchi is a wild card. I will probably watch maybe 3 episodes and if I don’t get hook I will drop it. Magi on the other hand sounds really promising! Great storyline great animation as far as I’ve seen on trailers and such. And most important of all, the world of anime and manga needs more shows about the Arabic culture. Especially since it’s really rich and I am deeply in love with the concept of seeing other characters from 1000 Arabic Nights. I am truly excited about this! Oh and movie wise, I think I’ll definitely watch Asura!
I haven’t much of these. Final Fantasy is a given of course and I really enjoyed X ,XII and XIII. X being the best of course. I don’t really have a “favorite” one. But if you know a good anime stylized game, hit me up with a comment!
There is one game called The World Ends With You. I would really like to try this game out and from what I have seen it looks pretty good. It’s been out for some time but I don’t own a DS. I’ll give it a shot with the Emulator maybe.
Holy fuck, just watched Berserk: The Golden Age Arc I – The Egg of the King and it was insanely good. Studio 4°C did an incredible job on this one. I’ve always loved their work and man did they not disappoint me this time.
The animation is of course off the charts and the whole movie gave me goosebumps. Can’t wait to get my hands on the second movie already.
For those of you who are interested it follows the manga exactly, just a bit more fast paced.I think it’s going to be a trilogy (hoping for more though) and two of those have already aired in Japan.
I don’t think I’ve mentioned Berserk in any of my posts before. I’m currently reading the manga and have been reading it for the past few years. It’s definitely one of the best mangas and for those of you who haven’t read it you should immediately do so now. It’s got violence, sex, epic fights, unique characters, awesome storyplot and on top of that, if I had to chose one manga that’s got the best drawings and artstyle then it’s hands down Berserk.
There are so many, haha. I usually prefer manga over anime since it’s the “original” you know. No filler, no bullshit, no long fights that takes up the whole episode etc etc.
And I can’t really come up with something right now so just on top of my head I guess I’ll go with,Death Note. Don’t get me wrong, the anime is certainly one of a kind and it’s really really great.
But the manga is just a tad bit better in my opinion.
Almost all of the female characters in the entire Anime universe.
